Onkyo: The company started under the name Osaka Denki Onkyo K.K in 1946. The Onkyo brand achieved more popular recognition in the 1970s when it developed a broader range of audio products including loudspeakers and receivers. By the 1980s the line expanded to included cassette tape decks, amplification, turntables, and tuners. In addition to the Onkyo line, the Integra and Integra Research divisions fall under the company's umbrella. At present, Onkyo is headed by Naoto Othsuki.
