With very well developed network of roads connecting different parts of Delhi, Safdarjung is an indispensable part of South Delhi. It was the first colony in Delhi to be built after partion of India and Pakistan. The place is is home for upper middle class genre of people. The region is famous for two reasons, one it houses the great heritage site - the Safdarjung Tomb and another is a well renowned Safdargunj Government Hospital. Another important place here is Delhi Flying Club.
